As a psychologist, I have worked to integrate the understanding and importance of mindfulness practices alongside clinical psychological approaches such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).  As the research and incorporation of meditation practices by psychology reached Australia and began to popularise mindfulness, I was invited to present at many conferences.

My experience of the benefits of training clients in methods that develop mindfulness led me to develop a four-week mindfulness and insight meditation course that initially was to support clients both current and former. As more clients and other students attended multiple courses it was clear that students were ready for more and Saturday afternoon practice periods were born.  The natural evolution of this meditation practice calls for more practice, as the method leads the student into greater clarity and insight.
